Virginia has a long history of gun ownership and use. That fact has been reinforced in recent years by our government by amending our state Constitution to protect our right to hunt.
A gun is a beautiful thing. Some are beautiful in their utility. They may be ugly as a fence post but divine in their ability to provide and protect. Some are beautiful for their art like construction. The simple fact is, they are all beautiful.
Unfortunately, Virginia gunowners are divided into camps. We have far too many now that consider a gun a defensive tool only and take pride in strutting with their plastic toys. These are particularly disturbing people to me.
The other end of the spectrum are builders or collectors that only live in the past. Honestly, I’ll take their company over the P4P bunch anyday.
Fortunately, many of us can still live in both camps and enjoy our classic and useful weapons, but carry the newer stuff when need be.
These pages are dedicated to our heritage and love for guns of all types.
